Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you doing well. It is hard to believe that we are approaching the end of second quarter, December 18th, just 11 school days away. Most students have done an excellent job of staying on track with their coursework, but after reviewing student progress over Thanksgiving break, we have found that some students are significantly behind and in jeopardy of failing for the quarter. The staff at Grant are committed to the success of each and every student and will provide the following opportunity to get caught up.
Students who are significantly behind in any class will use time in their program lab to make progress in their coursework. They will not participate in lab activities until they have reached target completion in their courses. Students that need assistance will be able to call, email, and zoom with their academic teachers during this time to get help while they are in their lab making progress. There is also help from Edgenuity. Use the following links for details: https://5il.co/njwl and https://5il.co/njwl
This only affects students who are significantly behind and are in jeopardy of failing their classes. Students may resume lab activities at the point they are back on track. To avoid missing extended amounts of lab time, online and in-person students who are behind need to complete work outside of school hours. We do not like to see students miss out on lab time; however, it is very important for students to pass their academic courses to stay on track for graduation. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Barry Daulton
